Sometimes MIT is called a praise-free zone. You can change that by nominating two of your favorite Faculty members for the prestigious Earll M. Murman and Arthur C. Smith Awards:
- The Earll M. Murman Award is given for Excellence in Undergraduate Advising.
- The Arthur C. Smith Award is given for meaningful contributions and devotion to undergraduate life and learning.
Has your advisor had a significant impact on your life, both academically and personally? Nominate her/him for the Murman Award.
What Faculty member have you seen on Faculty committees, at evening events, weekend games, in your dorm or FSILG? Nominate him/her for the Smith Award.
Nominating is easy, online at mit.edu/awards. The deadline is March 18: do it now.
