UA Public Relations Committee
The Undergraduate Association Committee on Public Relations works to improve and enhance the relationship between the UA and the undergraduate body. The committee's goals are to ensure both that the undergraduate body is aware of important issues being discussed in the UA and that the UA is constantly gathering feedback from students in order to best represent their ideas and concerns.
Current Projects
UA Booth
The UA Public Relations Committee is running a biweekly booth in the Student Center in order to gather more student feedback on issues the UA is working on. Come stop by, grab some candy and food, spin the colorful Wheel of Mayhem, and win a raffle prize!
Publicity for UA Exec Meetings
Executive meetings are being held at dorms this year to increase UA outreach to students. They are every Monday at 7pm. The meetings are one hour long and focus on a different specific topic every week; so far, there have been discussions on issues such as orientation, dining, increased enrollment, athletics, resource development, Kendall Square, etc.
Monthly UA Newsletters
The UA began producing monthly newsletters this year to highlight key projects and topics that the UA is currently tackling. These are available online, and printed copies are distributed throughout campus, generally at dorm desks and locations where The Tech is also distributed.
UA Midnight Study Breaks
The UA Public Relations Committee has held several midnight study breaks in the Coffeehouse of the Student Center, which were open to all undergraduates. Food themes have included autumn foods (e.g., pumpkin pie and hot cider), Mike's Pastry, and chocolate fondue. The events serve both as a study break and an opportunity for the UA to educate students on issues we work on and to collect feedback. We are planning on continuing to throw Midnight Study Breaks several times a semester.

We are constantly thinking of ways to make the UA website as readable and relevant to students as possible.
